Design and Construction

We utilize a chambered body design to reduce weight while retaining rigidity and resonance for the neck. We mill a core from a body blank, shown above, for the Style 1 instruments and then attach a bookmatched top and back. The style 2 instruments are milled from a solid blank except the last 1/4" which makes up the back.

The Hippie sandwich body is comprised of a core, multiple contrasting laminates and a top/back. The laminates are also carried through the neck and headstock.

Necks are available from solid blanks, scarfed blanks and laminated blanks. The laminated neck, as opposed to the hippie sandwich, is made up of vertical laminated strips that run the length of the neck. Necks can also be assembled as a hippie sandwich along with a number of options for inlay, binding etc

We default to ebony fretboards unless the customer specifies differently. A variety of options are available for radius, inlay, binding, side dots and fretwire. We will work with you to create a comfortable playing neck.

We source quality electronic components from a number of suppliers to provide the musician with quality tone. Wedo wind our own 4 and 5 string pickups. We offer passive and active pickup systems and creative wiring to provide the musician with ample options in which to dial in their sound. See our instrument pages for more information on what is included in a base instrument but know that we can always cater to our customers needs.

What we don't build in house, we source from recognized industry suppliers. As we build some of our own components such as bridges, pickup surrounds, knobs etc. we do make those available for sale for the DIY builder in our online REVERB store.
